Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity | University of Toronto
Our History
Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college experience. Our heritage stems from one source: young Jewish men who banded together in allegiance. Founded by eleven Jewish commerce students at New York University in 1913, Alpha Epsilon Pi has grown to include more than 135 chapters and over 80,000 current and past brothers. It is, by a wide margin, the largest fraternity in North America.
Scholastic Excellence
In Alpha Epsilon Pi, we take our education very seriously. We are consistently ranked at the top of all Greek organizations in GPA. By joining this fraternity, you have the advantage of knowing someone in relatively every major who will be glad to help and offer advice. Many of our brothers continue on to graduate, law and medical schools.
Leadership
A primary goal of Alpha Epsilon Pi is to turn our young men into leaders. The fraternity is a structured organization with many positions that require responsibility and leadership. Members find many opportunities to become leaders, take on responsibility, and interact within the Jewish community. There are also many leadership opportunities beyond Alpha Epsilon Pi which our brothers take full advantage of including Hillel, the UJA, the University of Toronto Students Union, and many more.
Your Future
Our almnui network is vast and established in the professional world. Alpha Epsilon Pi is a great place to network and to discover work opportunities prior to and following graduation.
Brotherhood
Each year, thousands of young men join fraternities, looking for the mystical bond of brotherhood, a sense of belonging that is at the core of all fraternal organizations. All fraternities, however, are not the same.
What makes Alpha Epsilon Pi different from others? We are a relatively young Jewish fraternity, a 20th century organization. It has all the vigour and breadth of the age in which it was established and it is symbolic of all the courage, freedom and changes that have occurred in our world during this century.
Personal Development
Alpha Epsilon Pi will allow you to learn more about new people and about yourself. It is the perfect means to develop your social and leadership abilities.
Fun
Alpha Epsilon Pi provides a healthy outlet in which students can enjoy college while still getting excellent grades. While our social events never interfere with our educations, we always have a good time. We offer a wide array of activities for Brothers including: athletics, pub nights, club parties, exchanges with sororities, events with Hillel and other Jewish student groups, and most of all a group of thirty-plus Jewish men to call your friends for life.
